Exercise Rehabilitation

Personalised exercise to help you build strength, improve mobility and feel more confident in everyday movement.

Whether you’re returning to exercise after an injury, managing a long-term condition, rebuilding strength after a period of inactivity, or simply want to feel stronger and move more easily, personalised exercise can make a real difference.

I’m an Exercise Rehabilitation Practitioner and Pilates Instructor with over 10 years’ experience helping people improve their strength, mobility and confidence through safe, tailored exercise.

My background includes working as an Advanced Physiotherapy Assistant within the NHS and supporting clients in their own homes as a Personal Trainer, with a focus on strength, mobility, functional movement and independence.

Based at Beeston Chiropractic Clinic, I offer one-to-one Exercise Rehabilitation appointments on Wednesdays, working with people who are medically stable and ready to exercise.

Who I can help

Exercise Rehabilitation is for adults who are ready to move, but need the right support to build strength, mobility and confidence.

I can work with you if you are medically stable and appropriate for exercise, including:

  • Osteoarthritis – building strength, mobility and confidence around affected joints
  • Osteoporosis – supporting strength, balance and functional movement where appropriate
  • Previous hip or knee replacement – once your initial post-operative rehabilitation has been completed and you are ready to build your strength and fitness
  • Returning to exercise after injury – where you have been cleared to exercise and no longer require specialist rehabilitation
  • Reduced strength or mobility – following periods of inactivity, illness or reduced activity
  • Balance and confidence – where you are independently mobile and looking to improve your stability and confidence
  • Everyday movement – improving strength for stairs, walking, getting up from a chair and other activities of daily life
  • Desk-related stiffness and reduced mobility – using strength, mobility and Pilates-inspired movement to help you feel better day to day

When I may not be the right person for you

Exercise Rehabilitation is not suitable for everyone. I may not be the appropriate practitioner if you require:

  • Specialist neurological rehabilitation
  • Rehabilitation following a recent fracture or surgery
  • Assessment of new or unexplained neurological symptoms
  • Diagnosis or treatment of an injury or medical condition
  • Hands-on treatment
  • Support with significant or uncontrolled falls risk
  • A level of physical assistance that I cannot safely provide

If you’re unsure, please get in touch before booking. I’m happy to discuss your circumstances and let you know whether I can help or whether another healthcare professional would be more appropriate.

What to expect

When you book an Exercise Rehabilitation Assessment, I will contact you to discuss your goals and any limitations. If suitable, I shall request payment and send you a copy of my T&Cs, once payment is received your appointment is confirmed.

Exercise Rehabilitation Assessment (60 min)

We’ll discuss your goals, medical history and assess your movement, strength, mobility and balance. Together, we’ll create a personalised plan to help you move with confidence.

  • Your medical history
  • Current symptoms
  • Your goals
  • Strength, mobility and balance
  • Movement assessment
  • Lifestyle and activity levels

The assessment is all about getting to know you, your lifestyle and your restrictions. I will asses your movement with a holistic approach meaning that the recommended exercise program will be at a level that works for you.

Following your assessment, you will be emailed a welcome pack with lots of information about the benefits of exercise and I’ll outline a summary and next steps.
